USP Preservative Efficacy Test (PET) on Liquid Multivitamins
Project Description
Third-party Microbiology lab needed to perform USP <51> Preservative Efficacy Test (PET) on liquid multivitamins? If yes, kindly indicate protocol, organisms and sampling time.
1. Can you perform USP PET on only two organisms: Candida albicans, and Aspergillus brasiliensis; and only on 7 days and 14 days? My preliminary formulations have no issue with killing the bacteria in the USP PET but only on yeast/mold. So I would like to screen formulations on yeast/mold before doing full PET on five organisms per USP <51>.
2. How much will it cost for full PET and the abridged PET as described in #1?
3. How many or what volume of samples do you need, and are there strict restrictions on sending multivitamins and liquid OTC drugs (cetirizine, ambroxol, Phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine maleate, carcocysteine) from the Philippines for testing?
Thank you
