Lab Biography
Midwest Laboratories is a full-service analytical laboratory specializing in the analysis of Soil/Agricultural samples, Feed/Pet Food samples, Environmental samples, Food samples, and Alternative Fuel samples. We are accredited to the ISO 17025 and NELAC Institute standards. Laboratory Management is committed to providing clients with high-quality, fast analysis utilizing the most current methods for the scope of testing requested. Department Supervisors and Laboratory Analysts are extremely knowledgeable in their respective areas and appreciate their clients’ need for a reliable, cost-effective analysis.
Qualifications
Midwest Laboratories is accredited to ISO 17025 standards through the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for Food, Feed, and Pet Food testing. We are also accredited to The NELAC Institute standards through Florida Department of Health for wastewater and solid waste samples. Through this accreditation, we also maintain several state accreditations for environmental testing including Iowa, Utah, Washington, Kansas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Texas.
Standards & Methodologies
As a diverse analytical laboratory, there are many methodologies in place at Midwest Laboratories. For Food, Feed, and Pet Food analysis, most methods are based on AOAC, AOCS, USP, FCC, and FDA standards and methods. The Alternative Fuels area utilizes ASTM and USP methodologies. The Environmental area utilizes EPA and Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater methods for most of the laboratory analyses. Midwest Laboratories uses up to date equipment and instruments in the testing including: ddPCR, LC/MS/MS, GC/MS/MS, ICP, ICP-MS, BAX PCR, BioMerieux VIDAS, HPLC-RI, GC-FID, and more.
