About LCMS Limited

LCMS Limited provides customized and innovative analytical solutions, offering state-of-the-art laboratory services and expert analysis to address complex problems. We pride ourselves on delivering personalized attention with fast turnaround times to answer your analytical measurement questions.

Expertise and Experience

With 25 years in business, LCMS Limited is led by its Founder and CEO, Dr. Voyksner, a pioneer in the field with nearly 45 years of experience in LC-MS/MS. Dr. Voyksner was among the first researchers to build and publish on LC-MS/MS using a triple quadrupole (Analytical Letters, 15, 1-12, 1982), demonstrating his foundational impact on the technology.

Proven Track Record and Leadership

LCMS Limited has a robust history of successful projects, serving government agencies (FDA, USDA, NIH, EPA), State agencies, and over 300 industrial clients. Our work supports critical research, development, and analysis in pharmaceutical, biomedical, environmental, and forensic sectors.

Dr. Voyksner, an internationally recognized leader in LC/MS/MS, has secured over 300 government grants and commercial contracts. He has authored over 100 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and serves as an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. His leadership extends to organizing five Montreux LC/MS Symposia, serving on the board of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, and contributing to the editorial board for the Journal of Chromatography.

Qualifications

Work can be performed under a GLP environment.

Standards & Methodologies

General:
LC/MS/MS target compound quantification
LC/high resolution MS/MS for compound-impurity- metabolite or degradation product identification
LC/UV analysis and purity determination
LC/fluorescence analysis
ELISA determinations
Bioassay measurements using chemiluminescence or fluorescence probes.

Facility and equipment testing for cross-contamination

  1. Swabbing LC/MS/MS approach is used to detect pharmaceutical products and food allergens in facility and machine surfaces.
  2. Developed chemical indicators to verify decontamination procedure was successful.
  3. Have methods developed for detection of  b-lactams, cyclosporine’s, steroids, benzodiazepines and food products including peanut, tree nuts wheat, barley and rye.
  4. Swabbing surfaces with LC/MS/MS analysis to determine pharmaceutical and antibiotic  residues and cross contamination.

Preclinical and early discovery- metabolite ID, PKDM

  1.  Develop and validate LC-MS/MS assays for measuring small molecule drugs and proteins biologics in biological matrices (including plasma, serum, urine, muscle, heart, lung kidney and liver).
  2. Identify metabolites in-vivo and in-vitro in biological matrices.
  3. Work with clients to provide analytical data for meeting goals set by the funders and provide data to support IND filings.

Detection  and identification of impurities and degradation products in formulations or manufactured products

  1. Identify and quantitation of leachable and extractables from medical devices in accordance to ISO 10993-18, to support the joint program with 2SD Toxicology Services verifying the Biocompatibility of Medical Devices and components that make up these devices.
  2. Identification and quantitation of forced degradation products from hydrolysis (acid–base) , photolysis, thermal, oxidation from drug substances and drug products.
  3. Stability studies on drug substances and drug products, according to ICH guidelines at 40C, 25C, -20C and -80C and identifying and quantifying the products detected.
  4. Determine drug potency by bioassays during stability study and after forced degradation studies.

Proteomics:

  1. Enzymatic digestion and LC/MS/MS analysis for protein identification, quantification and disulfide bond location.
  2. Identify and measure allergenic proteins and to test ability of new drugs to degrade allergens.
  3.  Use of enzymatic digestion and LC-MS/MS to detect marker peptides representing allergenic proteins for  wheat, barley, rye, soy, peanuts,  tree nuts, milk, egg, celery and mustard in food products.
  4. Provide food authenticity analysis.
