Axxelera is an automated lab for peptide synthesis and screening on high-density peptide microarrays, based in Karlsruhe, Germany. We synthesize up to 200,000 individually designed peptides on a single array, and up to 500,000 peptides per project, then run the assay in house, so customers receive data rather than material.
Our services include:
• Binder Identification — screen a custom library to find peptides that bind your target
• KD Ranking — measure dissociation constants and rank candidates by affinity
• Epitope Mapping — locate linear and conformational antibody epitopes
• Protease Profiling — map cleavage sites and substrate preferences
Each project runs end to end, from library design through synthesis and assay to data analysis, with results from 14 days. Our customers are antibody, vaccine and peptide-therapeutics groups in pharma, biotech and academia.
Axxelera UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is a German limited company registered in Karlsruhe: commercial register HRB 736891 Mannheim, VAT ID DE331954161. Services are provided for research use only.
• Work performed in house. All synthesis and screening runs on our own peptide microarray platform, operated by the scientists who developed it, under written internal procedures.
• Confidentiality. Customer sequences, samples and data are handled under NDA, covered by documented confidentiality and data-protection policies.
• Verifiable results. Every project is delivered with both the raw readout and the analysed data, so findings can be checked independently.
Peptides are produced by combining digital photolithography with solid-phase peptide chemistry, running thousands of coupling reactions in parallel, so every chip is built to order for the customer’s design. Capacity is up to 200,000 peptides per array and up to 500,000 peptides per project, and multi-well layouts allow several analytes or concentrations on a single chip.
Library design — composed from the customer’s own sequences: overlapping tiling of a target, positional and alanine substitution scans, truncation series, cyclization and non-natural residues where the question requires them.
Assays — fluorescence readout throughout:
• Binder Identification and Epitope Mapping — endpoint incubation of the array with the analyte
• KD Ranking — a concentration series per peptide, fitted by non-linear regression, giving a dissociation constant for every peptide in the library; up to 15,000 peptides per microarray in one titration
• Protease Profiling — cleavage measured across the whole library to identify cleavage sites and substrate preferences
Every project covers library design, synthesis, assay and data analysis, with a report delivered from 14 days.
