Structural Wood Testing for Preservative

I am interested in having a section of wood tested to determine if the wood is preservative-treated. The wood is painted and exposed to the exterior and there is evidence of deterioration in areas. Can you also verify the species of wood? If so, where do I send the sample, and approximately how long would it take you to do the testing?
