Royal Sidr Honey COA Testing and Analysis

We are a U.S.-based business importing Royal Sidr Honey from the Shabwah region of Yemen. This is a premium, rare honey intended for the gut health and functional nutrition market. We are seeking a reputable, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory to perform a comprehensive honey testing to ensure product safety, authenticity, and quality before retail distribution.

Testing Requirements:

1. Authenticity Verification

  • Pollen Analysis (Melissopalynology) to confirm botanical origin as Sidr (Ziziphus sp.).
  • Adulteration Screening to detect any added sugars, syrups, or other honey varieties.

2. Purity & Safety

  • Pesticide Residue Screening (including glyphosate and neonicotinoids).
  • Antibiotic Residue Testing (common veterinary drug residues that may appear in honey).
  • Heavy Metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury).

3. Quality & Freshness Indicators

  • HMF (Hydroxymethylfurfural) level to assess heat exposure and age.
  • Moisture Content to verify proper storage and shelf stability.
  • Diastase Activity to confirm enzymatic activity and freshness.

4. Microbiological Safety

  • Standard microbiology panel for honey (yeasts, molds, Clostridium botulinum spores if available).

Purpose of Testing:
The results will be used for consumer-facing transparency, quality assurance, and to support product claims for the gut health market. We plan to publish a summary of the results on our website to build trust with customers.

Sample Size & Timeline:

– We can provide the recommended quantity of honey for all required tests.

– Preferred turnaround: 2–3 weeks from sample receipt.
