Microplastics Absence Testing in Cosmetic Formulations

I’m seeking qualified laboratory partners to perform analytical testing to verify the absence of intentionally added or residual microplastics in finished cosmetic formulations. Preferred analytical techniques include Micro-Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (MicroFTIR) and Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (Pyrolysis-GC/MS).

The selected laboratory should be capable of:

• Detecting and identifying polymeric microplastic particles at trace levels

• Providing qualitative and, if applicable, quantitative analysis

• Demonstrating method validation and detection limits

• Advising on recognized regulatory or industry-accepted methodologies for substantiating “microplastic-free” claims
