MIC Assay and Toxicity Screen: MRSA

Project Description

I need an expert independent laboratory for Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) testing per the CLSI/EUCAST standards. The goal is to evaluate the antimicrobial potency of a primary peptide candidate alongside two close sequence variants under controlled, reproducible conditions.

Project Scope

  • Sample type: Chemically synthesized antimicrobial peptides (≥95% purity, lyophilized)
  • Number of samples: 3 peptides (1 source + 2 variants)
  • Target organism: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)
  • Assay method: Broth microdilution MIC per CLSI M07 (or equivalent validated protocol)
  • Replicates: 3 technical replicates per run, 2 independent biological runs (total = 18 MIC determinations)

Additional endpoints of interest: (if applicable) Time–kill curves, post-antibiotic effect, cytotoxicity (hemolysis, mammalian cell lines)

Information Requested: detailed quotation covering assay costs, setup, and any ancillary fees + turnaround time from sample receipt to final report.

Sample submission specifications will be 4 mL, 95+%, molecular weight approximately 1430.

Reporting format (raw data, interpreted MIC values, QC results).

Documentation or certificates of compliance (GLP, ISO, or relevant accreditations).

I can provide peptide sequences, handling precautions, and relevant safety data under a signed Confidentiality Agreement. If required, I will align formulation and documentation with your biosafety protocols prior to shipment.

Please advise on your current capacity for this work and whether you recommend any preliminary screening prior to MIC determination.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.
