Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) Testing of Azelaic Acid–D-Panthenol THEDES Formulation

Project Description

Need Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) on an azelaic acid–D-panthenol therapeutic deep eutectic system (THEDES), including the concentrated premix and diluted finished-formula samples. The objective is to assess formation and stability of a homogeneous, single-phase amorphous eutectic system, identify any residual crystallinity or phase separation, and evaluate complex integrity after dilution and combination with other formulation excipients.

Requested DSC conditions:

5–8 mg sample in a sealed aluminum pan with micro-pinhole, with an empty sealed pan as reference. Cool to −100°C under controlled conditions for thermal history erasure, followed by heating from −100°C to 50°C at 10°C/min under nitrogen purge. The second heating curve should be used as reportable data. Report should include the full thermogram, glass transition (Tg) onset, midpoint, and endpoint where present, and identification of any melting or crystallization peaks.
