Ambergris Authenticity Testing Using Advanced Analytical Methods
Project Description
A laboratory is needed to analyze a material suspected to be ambergris using scientifically validated methods. Testing might include Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) with derivatization for ambrein detection and quantification, Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and possibly Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) or microscopic analysis for structural confirmation.
