Chinesco Figurine Authentication Testing

Project Description

Laboratory needed for authenticating eight ceramic Chinesco figurines purported to be 500 years old. We are requesting any tests that may help authenticate the figurines. As they consist of glazed ceramic, tests that could determine the age of the materials could assist in determining when they were created. Since the claim from the seller was that they were "pre-Columbian", the expectation is that they could be about 500 or more years old.
