Periodic Cleaning / Sanitization Effectiveness Testing of Seedling Container Testing
Project Description
LONG-TERM TESTINGMULTIPLE TESTS
USA Environmental Microbiology Laboratory needed for cleaning/sanitization effectiveness testing of empty styrofoam containers normally used to grow conifer seedlings for reforestation. The purpose of the tests would be to determine whether the container cleaning/sanitization process was effective in preparation for the next crop to be grown in the same containers. The 3 pathogens we would like to have tested for are: fusarium, pythium, cylindrocarpon. Each sample submission would include a control container that had not been sanitized (but was still free of tree seedlings and growing media) plus several sanitized containers for confirmation that they had, indeed, been fully sanitized.
