Scientific Authentication and GC-MS Analysis of Suspected Ambergris Specimen

Project Description

We’re looking for an independent laboratory to scientifically identify and authenticate a suspected ambergris specimen found by fishermen near Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. The specimen weighs approximately 1.090 kg.

Testing should include GC-MS analysis to detect ambrein, a marker compound associated with ambergris, along with any other appropriate analytical methods for specimen identification and authentication. Please advise on required sample size, testing process, cost, turnaround time, and whether a Certificate of Analysis (COA) can be issued.
