We are seeking laboratory assistance to conduct a controlled carbonization experiment using human hair as the sole input material. The objective is to convert raw, salon-collected human hair into high-purity carbon powder suitable for advanced material applications. The scope includes: Cleaning and preprocessing of raw hair Controlled pyrolysis or thermal decomposition in an inert atmosphere (500-900°C) Removal of residual ash and non-carbon impurities Optional analysis of purity (% carbon), ash content, and yield per kg The goal of this pilot is to validate the viability of hair as a carbon feedstock by generating 2-10 kg of high-purity carbon and establishing repeatable protocols and a report.
