Laboratory Test Request

Vibration-Damping Comparison of Carbon Fiber Laminate Composites

Project Description

MULTIPLE TESTING
UK Contract Laboratory needed for ISO and ASTM comparison testing to compare different carbon fiber laminate parts for vibration damping. We looked at 3 potential methodologies:
1. ASTM E756 (Standard Test Method for Measuring Vibration-Damping Properties of Materials) https://cdn.standards.iteh.ai/samples/98890/8ff5f633bb95411ea665499fc325f0ba/ASTM-E756-05-2017-.pdf.
2. UNE-EN-ISO 5349 standard (Measured mechanical vibrations and evaluation of human exposure to hand-transmitted vibrations)
3. Laboratory test mentioned in this paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-97933-w
(Research on damping performance and strength of the composite laminate)
Are these methods, possible? What's the most feasible test method for your testing?
