MULTIPLE TESTING
Third-party accredited waste treatment laboratory needed for testing waste to be discarded in a landfill for oxidizing solids.
Here is the required parameters the landfill asked me for:
To confirm post-treatment the material is (or isn''t) an "oxidizing substance", and for acceptance at the landfill - the Alberta User Guide for Waste Managers requires the classification be completed using specific test methods, which can be found in Section 34.4 (test methods for oxidizing solids and liquids) and 34.4.3 (Gravimetric test for oxidizing solids) of the UN Recommendations Standards for Test Methods. How to assess the results of the tests is also available in Section 34.4.
There are 2 options for oxidizing solids and are referred to as 0.1 Test and 0.3 Test.
