Overview
BioTools, Inc. is the world leading provider of instrumentation and services for the characterization of all therapeutic modalities from small chiral molecules to bio-based. We also specialize in testing of consumer products, plant-based, raw material id (for most industries) and cell media.
For biologics (including peptides, proteins and conjugates) and other bio-based pharmaceuticals such as Saccharide-derived, nucleic acid-based (mRNA, DNA, siRNA, AAV), complex drugs, and conjugates, we use HPLC for Purity (and other USP compendium tests), UV-Vis/ CD, FTIR and RAMAN/ROA for Higher Order Structure (HOS) and comparability studies.
For chiral molecules, we are the number one lab in the world for determination of absolute configuration (AC) with our ground-breaking technique of vibrational circular dichroism (VCD). VCD analysis is performed in solution; it is fast, non-destructive and requires no crystallization or chromophore derivatization for AC. We can also characterize chirality using the electronic CD.
